Fresh Flour Tortillas

Fresh Flour Tortillas

Fresh flour tortillas are a staple in many cuisines, offering a warm, soft embrace for your favorite fillings. Unlike most store-bought tortillas, which often contain enriched flour and preservatives, homemade tortillas made with our Organic All-Purpose Flour deliver a fresher taste and superior texture—perfect for tacos, wraps, or served alongside your favorite dishes.

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups Farm2Flour All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/3 cup melted butter, slightly cooled
  • 1 cup hot water

Directions:

  1. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and baking powder until evenly combined.

  2. Add Butter: Pour in the melted butter and stir until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

  3. Add Water & Form Dough: Slowly pour in the hot water and mix until the dough comes together. Knead gently until smooth.

  4. Divide & Rest: Divide the dough into 10–12 equal portions. Roll each into a ball, flatten slightly with your palm, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let rest for at least 15 minutes (or up to 1 hour).

  5. Roll: Lightly flour your work surface and rolling pin, then roll each dough ball into a thin circle.

  6. Cook & Serve: Heat a cast-iron or heavy-bottomed skillet over medium-high heat. Cook each tortilla until bubbles form and light brown spots appear on both sides. Serve warm.

And there you have it—a simple, delicious way to make fresh flour tortillas using our organic all-purpose flour.
