Classic Pancakes

These pancakes are soft, buttery, and full of the rich, homemade flavor fresh, stone-milled flour brings to the table. Use Farm2Flour Einkorn Flour for a naturally nutty flavor, or Farm2Flour All-Purpose Flour for a classic, fluffy pancake.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Farm2Flour Einkorn flour or Farm2Flour All Purpose Flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter, slightly cooled
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Optional: 1–2 teaspoons maple syrup or sugar — or sub with honey for natural sweetness

Directions:

  1. Mix dry ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

  2. Whisk wet ingredients: In another bowl, whisk the milk, egg, melted (and slightly cooled) butter, vanilla, and your sweetener of choice.

  3. Combine: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and stir until just combined. The batter will be a bit thick — avoid overmixing.

  4. Cook: Heat a lightly buttered skillet or griddle over medium heat. Pour about 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form and the edges begin to set, 2–3 minutes. Flip and cook another 1–2 minutes until golden.

  5. Serve: Enjoy warm with butter, maple syrup, fruit, or your favorite toppings.
