Ingredients

Dough:

  • 1 cup warm water (about 110°F)
  • 2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2 ½ cups Farm2Flour 00 Pizza Flour
  • 1 ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Filling:

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Your favorite ingredients: pepperoni, sautéed mushrooms, roasted veggies, cooked sausage, etc.
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • Optional: pizza sauce for dipping

Directions:

  • Activate the yeast: In a large bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.

  • Mix the dough: In a large bowl (or stand mixer bowl), combine the 00 Pizza Flour and salt. Add in the olive oil and activated yeast mixture.

    • Mix by hand: Stir until a shaggy dough forms, then knead on a lightly floured surface for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

    • Mix with stand mixer: using a dough hook, mix on low for 1 minute, then increase to medium speed and knead for 5–6 minutes until smooth and the dough pulls away from the sides of the bowl.

    • If the dough is too sticky or not pulling away cleanly, add more 00 flour 1 tablespoon at a time until it comes together.

  • Let it rise: Transfer the dough to a lightly greased bowl. Cover and let rise until it doubles in size, about 1 hour.

  • Roll and fill: Punch down the dough and roll it out into a 10x14-inch rectangle. Sprinkle mozzarella, your favorite fillings, Parmesan, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning evenly on top.

  • Roll and slice: Starting from the long side, roll the dough tightly into a log. Slice into 1-inch thick pinwheels.

  • Bake: Place pinwheels on a baking sheet or pan. Bake at 375°F for 18–20 minutes, or until golden and bubbly.

  • Serve: Let cool slightly and enjoy with warm pizza sauce for dipping, if desired.
